Colonial Brazil in your hands
Pernambuco, 1535. The Portuguese Crown grants you a captaincy: a strip of forest and beach between the sea and the backlands. Cut roads through the forest, raise houses, a chapel and a sugar mill, feed the town and fulfil the King's Royal Charter. Capitanias Online is a city-builder inspired by the classics of the genre, made with historical care.
A living town
Every villager has a name, a trade, an origin, a temperament and a memory. Talk to them by typing or with your voice: they react, disagree and remember you.
Notables who change the game
The town's influential people react to famine, taxes, feasts and raids. Treated well, they help; treated badly, they riot, complain to the King or leave.
Production chains
Common wood, hardwood and brazilwood; charcoal, iron and gold; roof tiles, furniture and tools. Workshops that evolve with the craftsmen trained at the schools.
The Portuguese army
Militia, arquebusiers and allied archers. Drill formations and choose the right strategy against French corsairs, raids from the forest and the rival captaincy.
History without varnish
Slavery, the Indigenous peoples and the Crown's exploitation of the colony are portrayed seriously, to learn and reflect. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
